The Superior, Colorado Real Estate boom took off when Interlocken brought in Sun Microsystems and Level 3 Communications in the late 1990's. There were stories when people were relocating here that they had buses of transferees coming in for their housing tours. Most of the subdivisions were built from the early 1990's on. The services in Superior are excellent and neighboring Broomfield has the Flatiron Mall which right next to Superior. Superior does not have its own Library or Recreation Center yet. A lot of Superior residents go to the Louisville Library. Superior has an excellent sales tax base with Costco and Super Target in their city. Lots of people drive from the surrounding cities to go to Costco. I have heard the Superior Costco is in the Top 10 for Costco locations in the U.S. One of the issues to be aware of when considering Superior Real Estate is the "expansive soils" where a lot of the homes have been built. It affects concrete slab basements, driveways and sidewalks. When you drive around the Rock Creek neighborhoods you can see a lot of driveways and sidewalks which have heaving and cracking of the concrete. |
